During this week you will spend with us, you will become familiar with the activity of canyoning and discover a hidden and fantastic world.

You will discover crystalline water lagoons, sliding on natural slides, jumping and rapelling down in the middle of waterfalls.

Itinerary

Day 1

Take the train in Lisbon or Oporto and get off at Aveiro. We'll pick you up at the station and take you to the hotel.

We left Aveiro at 7.30 p.m.

Welcome dinner

 

Day 2

Ribeira de Vessadas.

Transport to the Ribeira de Vessadas.

Excellent river for the initiation to the canyoning.

Approach to the equipment and various techniques like rapell, water jumps, slides, etc.

Day 3

Rio Teixeira.

Transportation to the Teixeira river.

One of the most beautiful rivers in Portugal. Waterfalls with 30 meters of height and a stunning landscape.

One day spent walking down cascades, swimming ponds and jumping into the water.

 

Duration of descent: 5 to 6 hours

Approach: 15 minutes always on the right.

Day 4

Free day

Free day in Aveiro and or on the beach of Aveiro

We'll pick you up in the morning and pick you up at the end of the afternoon.

Dinner.

 

Day 5

Rio de Frades

It is one of the wildest rivers right in the heart of the mountains.

Let's discover waterfalls, lagoons of a turquoise blue and we will also cross the mountain from one side to the other through an old mine of wolfram.

 

Duration of descent: 4h a 5h

Approach march: 30 to 40 minutes always up.

Day 6

Caima River

We left to the end one of the largest waterfalls in Portugal.

The Caima River rises at the top of the Freita mountain range with an incredible view over the sea.

The descent begins with a waterfall almost 100 meters high.

 

Duration of descent: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Approach: Not applicable

Day 7

End of stay and return to Aveiro and the house.

 

Please note that this program may change due to weather conditions which may not be favorable.

Recommended for

People with good physical condition.

Requirements

Going down the rivers will take between 5 to 8 hours, with the approach marches, so being in good physical condition and be able to swim is important.
